Important announcement 

Copilot, Microsoft's AI assistant, has been available through its network of Cloud Solution Provider partners since January 16. To appeal to a wider audience and allow smaller customers to access Copilot, Microsoft has also removed the minimum purchase requirement and customers with Office 365 E3 and E5 can now purchase Copilot for Microsoft 365 – previously, a Microsoft 365 license was required.

  • Commercial customers with Microsoft 365 E3/E5, Office 365 E3/E5 and Microsoft 365 Business Standard/Business Premium basic SKUs can now purchase Copilot for Microsoft 365 through all sales channels - including the Cloud Solution Provider partner network, EA, MCA-E, EAS and directly on Microsoft online. 
  • Education customers with Microsoft 365 A3/A5 and Office 365 A3/A5 can purchase through Enrollment for Education Solutions.
  • Microsoft is removing the minimum purchase requirement for Copilot for Microsoft 365 across all channels and segments. However, customers must have a product license of one of the required base SKUs for each seat of Copilot for Microsoft 365 they purchase.
  • Office 365 E3 and E5 licenses include Semantic Index for Copilot to help customers prepare AI. Semantic Index for Copilot is essential for securely retrieving personalized, relevant, and actionable responses to prompts in Microsoft 365 Copilot.
